Post subject: Motherboard Manual for Acer Aspire 5050 |
|
|
I just replaced the motherboard for my Acer Aspire 5050 (MB: DA0ZRMB6C1). All seems to work OK except for the Wireless. Although all drivers are installed properly and the Broadcom hardware works OK, it doesn't recognize any networks. I have discovered a 6 pin plug on the motherboard, next to the battery that doesn't have any cable plugged in. As it took almost 2 months for me to get the MB I have forgotten what fits into that plug, if anything at all. I am therefore looking for a MB manual for this laptop, which would show what these pins are for.
Does anyone have an electronic manual for this Motherboard?
Thanks,
Wouter

| I have a acer aspire 5050-3371 and that plug you are talking about has nothing plugged to it. I am having to do the samething you are doing and when I took that cover off I noticed it too. I don't know where it goes or what its there for. You can probably call there 1800 number and ask them what it is for. The number is 1.800.816.2237. Good luck to you and hopefully it will work.

| I think that is probably the plug for the internal bluetooth adapter. I know that the 5050's have a 6 pin connector for theirs. You can get the adaptors from ebay for about GBP 15
