I have a PC Chips M810D V7.5a motherbaord.

Pls help me locate a bios link file since the bios that I have downloaded from PC Chips is for M810DLU V7.5a. After flashing, its okay but during boot-up, there was an error on MAC and DMI area.

Many thnx

no onboard LAN on your board, best to disable in bios.

thnx for the reply. Yup with onboard LAN. The reason why I want to reflash this board is that installing XP is in snail speed. Now flashed with the 7.5a DLU, I can see MAC address problem in DMI. But few days later I retested the board, the error warning is gone. Is it the battery?

Probably just an error in the LAN autodetect feature of this board. M810D and M810DLU of the same revision should only differ in the LAN component fitted or not.

Could be the XP disk or your CD/DVD reader (cabling?) as well, might even be badcaps syndrome:

Bad memory, overheating northbridge or CPU. Replacing the CMOS battery might offer quick/cheap/easy fix, yes, it also clears the CMOS of any remnants/settings of the previous bios version...
