Asus P2B BIOS newer than 1014 BETA 001

If anyone have Asus P2B BIOS later than 1014 BETA 001 or BIOS update from PowerLeap for this board, please send it to me...

the 1014 beta 001 is dated Jan. 9th 2002, I think chances are pretty slim there is a newer one...

I need BIOS that has fixed the bug with multipliers 11x and above.
I know that PowerLeap has a BIOS for P2B which allows Tualatin CPUs to run.
The 1014 beta 001 is "07/08/01-i440BX-<<P2B>>-00".

Hmm, interesting. You're paying $10 for the bios upgrade. Something tells me we have to wait for someone to buy the kit and be kind enough to share the bios. I doubt it will show up at either the asus or powerleap site anytime soon...

I would buy the BIOS but only alone, not in any kit. I don't want their adapter nor CPU from them.
I can buy CPU myself with original Intel heatsink&fan and cut&connect some pins to make it working on BX. The only thing I need is the BIOS - it's cheap from them comparing to Uni****, but I don't think that they will want to sell it alone and even if they will, I don't have credit card to pay Sad

The best thing would be new BIOS from Asus, but I think that the 1014 beta 001 is the last BIOS for P2B board. I already contacted Asus techsupport - I will see later...

New Beta 1014-002 for P2B series released yesterday on asus german ftp. PowerLeap released the GigaByte Bios recently sa well, no word on the P2B-DS one yet, still in development. Looked at new beta bios. Microcode added for Tualatin Celerons and P3's. PowerLeap adaptor may work with them now, no gaurantees. Do not know if this resolved 11X multiplier issue.

I don't know too much about tearing apart BIOS. I was just able to go in and extract the microcode list and saw the additions of the 06B0 and 06B1 chip ID's vs the last BIOS. I know 06B1 is Tully Celly's and P3's, I have no idea what 06B0 is. Also, since you guys likely know far more than I about this stuff, is there any way to tell if the multiplier support has been added? I'd hate to spend the money on the chips if they're not going to boot.

Cool, new BIOS for my P2B-F. I'd pretty much given up. Asus rocks!

So, Rainbow, what's the deal with your Tualatin mod? I thought it wasn't possible.

I don't have the Tualatin yet, but I think that I will buy it soon, along with new Socket-to-Slot adapter (Asus again - they're the best), so I will not break my current one. There will be problem with the voltage - my board is rev. 1.10 - this means that the lowest supported voltage is 1.8V which is out of specification (even out of the absolute maximum rating, which is 1.75V)...

actually P2B 1.10 has lowest voltage at about 1.6V :)

P2B rev 1.04 is the lovest revision that runs coppermines smoothly without hacks (cappacitor on 1.02)
