I recently purchased an HP pavilion a1250n, which motherboard is an MSI MS-7184 (which apparently is an oem motherboard that is not supported by the company).

I was just wondering if there is a bios update that lets me unlock a few extra options (like overclocking) the HP bios does not have.

Any help would be really appreciated.

My Bios specs are as follows:

I am looking for a fix too. Did you come across one for the MS-7184 Bios?

I have a HP Pavilion w5052.be with an MS-7184 motherboard.

I flashed the MB with the latest MSI MS-7093 bios. And all is working fine Wink

Mini Howto.

- Download latest MSI MS-7093 bios
- Make a bootable usb stick or CD or floppy
- copy the files to it
- run awfl855a.exe biosfilename /py/sn/wb/f
- Now the bios is flashed and your Pavilion will boot with the MSI bios but makes more noise and the bios is protected with an HP password, ...
- Open your case and reset your CMOS, ... move the CMOS jumper for a few secs
- reboot and enter your bios and configure as desired
- (for the Realtek AC97 driver go to http://www.msi.com.tw/

Have fun !!

Robin

For known computer manufacturers, (like HP, Toshiba Sony and such), always check their website.

For Toshiba I recommend to use Google because their website is way tooo much complicated and if you search you find nothing.
