Post subject: AGP video card detection problem |
|
|
| Ok, I have a visiontek x1300 and my issue is that I ordered my motherboard with a pc chips m848a. I have been using a pci slot radeon 9250 for a while before I got this new motherboard because the AGP slot died on my other mobo. Now that I have a working AGP I put in my wonderful 1300. But, its not being detected as a x1300. Instead, its sectioned in "other devices" as "video controller (VGA Compatible)". I've tried to install 2 drivers for the 1300 from the ati site and the visiontek site.. but it says "setup could not find a driver compatible with your current hardware or operating system". Now, I know its not the operating system, seeing as I still have the same hard drive from before. The hardware install system wont work with it anyways. Does anyone know what is wrong with it? I would greatly appreciate some guidance. I just want to play my games again! :'(
