You simply cannot overclock a Dell. A custom bios might do the trick but that will cost anywhere between 30 and 60 dollars.

So dang even though I upgraded the CPU I wont be able to gain any speed. Confused Wish I would have know that before. Looks like its time to buy a new computer. This time no DELL!!!!! I'm going custom MOD!

Well... Technically the OP isn't overclocking, he is upgrading.

Dell's do not allow for this?

Yea so since I just upgraded the CPU. When I go to the BIOS screen the fields to mod the GHZ speed is locked out. What gives?

first of all: the multiplier of all intel cpus (except the mobile ones and engineering samples) is locked since pentium II 400. the greyed out field you are refering to is just meant for information. even if you would buy another mainboard the multiplier will stay locked.
so the only way you could overclock would be the front side bus (FSB). since your cpu is already running a 200MHz FSB, which is the max. the chipset supports, it will be difficult to queeze out more without making the whole system unstable. this will leave you with buying another mainboard which supports a higher FSB, running the system as it is or buying a completely new machine (considering OC capabilities beforehand).
