Acer Aspire 5315-2191

Hey i just got my laptop as a present from somebody and now whenever i boot it up it comes directly to a "Enter BIOS Password" screen and i have tried a couple of default passwords but it locks out at the third and i have to restart to try again. I have also tried opening it up and resetting the CMOS battery, but they made it unreachable unless you take the keyboard off and everything which i dont want to do. I then called Acer and their charging me 100 bucks just to clear the password. I was wondering is their any other way to clear this password?
