Acer Aspire 1650 BIOS Update

Hello Everyone,

I'm creating this topic because of my Acer Aspire 1650 Notebook.
My BIOS is more than 2 years old (August 2005) so I want to upgrade my BIOS, because I have been experiencing problems. But I went to the Acer website and downloaded the Vista BIOS file. In that file there were a 2 BIOS files a normal one and a UMA version and the BIOS utility WinPlash. But the problem is that I don't know which one to choose. And with either one of the BIOS files when I use them in WinPlash and choose the option to upgrade my BIOS, the program starts, saves the (old) BIOS file and then my screen goes blue and the notebook restarts, but nothing changes after that. my BIOS is still the same. So what can I do about this?

the 2 reasons I want to update my BIOS is because it's outdated and every time my notebook restarts I get the BSOD and the errorcode C000021a Fatal Error.
