HP Compaq 6715b Bios

Hello I have the problem with the bios lock on my HP laptop. Since I did not find any topic with the 6715 in it I would like to know from what company is the bios Phoenix/Award? Can I with my laptop also do the bios change?

Hello again all

I have got one more question, what have i done wrong if i open the bios file *.bin in an hex editor an there are only F's everywhere?

Doesn't anyone have any suggestions?

When I open the biosfile for the HP nc4010 there are different hex characters but in the 6715 there are only F's.

Is there nothing I can do to get a atheros wlan card to work in my hp laptop, than to sell the laptop and buy another brand that does not lock the wlan?
