I have an old comp. 350MHz with an ASUS ALI GA-5AX motherboard.
I did find bios setup files, BUT
How do I install them? I was told to run a flash file from dos, but I cant reach dos. If I put the boot-sequence to A/C it wont run my bootable disk.
How do I update the bios???

Right. So use her machine to make a boot disk, and copy the BIOS and flasher to it. Then remove the HDD in your machine and flash the BIOS. Then reinstall the HDD.
1. Make sure you know what motherboard you have.
2. Make sure you know the new BIOS supports large HDD before you start the process.
3. Read the FAQ and Collected Wisdom forum so you know what you're doing.

Flash your BIOS at your own risk.
