My friend gave me 40GB Western HD with Window XP. I tried to install it to my PC, but the PC failed to recognize the OS. I think I need to upgrade the BIOS in order to make it work. Even I set the BIOS to 1023 cylinder, 16 heads and 63 sectors like Western recommend, it still did not work. Where can I find the BIOS upgrade, please?

Looks like a PCCHIPS M571. Identify it correctly at http://go.to/th2 (use the DO NOT KNOW section).
Thanks ajzchips,
I have some questions.
When I go to go.to/th2, I see there are three versions of M571. Where do you find the M517? How do you know the version? I can see from motherboard V3.2. Is the version V3.2? There are also three versions of BIOSs: V3.2A, V5.1 and V7.0. Which ont I can use? Why V5.1? I can click the name on go.to website, but I cannot find the link for the BIOS, Manual, Chipset, ete...
Please help!
Thanks

You'll need the V3.2A BIOS (the V3.2 and V3.2A boards are identical, except that the latter has the 2.2V setting the K6-2 and K6-III require).
The download site will be up on the first of September, but in the meanwhile, get it from: http://mobokive.dyndns.org/Archive/PcCh ... 4S_AMI.zip

Hi ajzchips,
After I flashed the BIOS, I used the Data Safeguard from Western Digital to partition the HD. During partition, it was asking me Do you want to install Window XP, I answered YES. Then it said that my BIOS does not support the NTFS. Do you know what happend?
Thanks
