I have EP-MVP3C EPOC MOBO. My BIOS upgrade failed. (AWDFLASH finished successfully, but after reboot I saw "BIOS ROM Checksum Error" Message and system required system diskette. I prepared bootable system diskette with awdflash.exe, my previous version of BIOS in .bin file, autoexec.bat with proper command to run awdflash. System starts to read from the diskette and after 2 seconds stops. I am sure that there are no bad sectors on the diskette. Thank you for any helpful advices.

Does it boot to DOS if you use a normal DOS boot diskette?
You can try to use an old ISA I/O card.
I'll try if I find some. I've already tried to use Caldera DR-Dos boot diskette. I got "Can't load bdos krenel file: A:\IBMDOS.COM System halted." It seems as only the beginning part of dos can be loaded from diskettes...

Do you mean the AWDblock utility? It has a bit other purpose.KachiWachi wrote:What about trying the AWARDBoot disk that is posted here (somewhere)?
I'd try another floppy and/or FDD drive.

Yeah...that's it.
I thought it might be able to let him do a bit more diagnostics...assuming his hardware was good prior to the flash...which I have no reason to doubt.
