I have a cds 924 that will not let me go into the BIOS. I have downloaded the Diagnostic/Setup sotpaq that I need but it will not load to the hard drive. Can I create a non dos partition using another computer? Or can someone help me get this computer up? I'm at a lost as to what to do. Compaq's are a different creature.
What is the "sp #" for the rompaq for this BIOS?

IIRC, you will need 2-3 floppies for the procedure; one for the PC Diagnostics program, and one or two for the F10 setup program.
Boot with the Diagnostics disk, and it should give you the option to rebuild the Non-DOS partition on the HDD containing the above programs.
You MUST have the appropriate amount of empty space at the beginning of the drive. Either delete the existing partitions and start from scratch, or use Partition Magic to move your primary 25MB to the right to free up space.

Flash your BIOS at your own risk.
