Hi all,

As my motherboard was dead, i bought another second hand one.

But i got the bad surprize that the processor was not recognized... error 1801.

So what can I do ? Search another one or trying to upgrade ? I have a one month warranty to get it back.

Thank U.

Please specify what motherboard model you had and what model you have now.
Does your computer not work at all or does it just stop asking to enter bios or to press key to continue.

you can flash a dos based f1 bypass mod on the nvram(called no f1boot) so it lets the machine run as per normal, without the need to hit the f1 button anymore.
i did this on a ipaq pc with a tualatin adapter and pentium 3 s 1.4ghz cpu,the pc runs flawlessly + very fast regardless,as for the dumb 1801 error i simply ignore it now knowing very well its their problem not mine nor the pcs or cpu for that matter. 8)

yet another oem trap beaten once again
