Hey guys,
I want to ask you to help me with my problem. I have a Fujistu Siemens X102 (celeron) with the SiS 661 FX integrated graphics, and I bought a Fujitsu L20T-3 LCD screen with 1600*900 native resolution. VBIOS of my SIS661FX is 0.82.01 but there should be VBIOS version 2.51 that could help me get proper resolution, hopefully withou screen flickering. FSC is not interested in providing newer BIOS, so I hope someone could patch the bios for me? It is a Phoenix BIOS, mobo is D-2140-A11. First i guess you need a bios for my mobo. Is there any way how to backup a phoenix BIOS so I can provide you with the link to BIOS? any help would be appreciated.

We can use the official bios from FSC:

For the D2140-A1x board you have. I have to see if it's possible to replace the module in your bios. Stay tuned.

Aieeee. Ok FSC has decided to use some weird proprietary format for their bios updates, even dumping your bios will not provide a valid ROM file that can be edited with PBE.
2 options:
- get any PCI video card that can display 1600x900 NOT based on a SiS chip:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814130466
for example. It will be about 1.5x faster but more important, it supports your monitor.
or
- try and convince FSC to give you an updated bios.
Only option 1 is valid in my opinion and it should set you back no more than a few tens of dollars/euro. Just for the record, here is the manual for your board:
